Hey, summer is here! June has so many special days, it’s a bit overwhelming to be honest. Prominantly, June is Pride month and National Indigenous History Month. What did you do to celebrate or learn? Something that stands out for me, is the tour of Saysutshun Island I went on with some of my work colleagues.
What started out 2 years ago as “hey, I’m going to test out working for myself and running my own business” has evolved a bit. Rather than my whole livelihood, EQ is a single piece of my multi-faceted whatever-it-is I do professionally. Working full-time (for an employer), means I have to say “no” to a lot of opportunities and experiences that come up, even if I think I’d enjoy them and they’d be enriching to my personal or professional life. But it also means, that outside of work, I get to focus on only the things that bring me the most joy instead of what is most likely to lead to getting paid!
You may not have noticed, I have slowly been making small tweaks to my website and other EQ profiles to better reflect what I’m offering. In short, about half the time I’m spending on EQ Solutions is coaching and mentoring. Anything that requires more than an hour or so of facetime per week is off the table. And the other half the time, I’m writing. I know it may not seem like I’m writing much, and I’ve left a few projects on the backburner (sorry Ginelle and Sam), but it is a place I’m generally enjoying being in.I’m keen on getting your feedback on what you are interested in reading about. More of the same? Something different? Please fill out this feedback survey and let me know!
